Dr Tom Holt has been a general dentist and Medicaid provider in solo private practice in Coos Bay, Oregon since 1999.  He has been involved in leadership roles in organized dentistry at the local and state level, having served as Trustee and Delegate for the Oregon Dental Association, and was the 2024 recipient of the ODA Tom Tucker Memorial Humanitarian Award.

Dr Holt has extensive experience in public health related to both physical healthcare and dentistry, having served as a manager for the regional Medicaid dental management network, and serving as a Clinical Advisory Panel member for Advanced Health, Coos County’s Coordinated Care Organization. 

He has a master’s degree in Bioethics from Creighton University, and is a certified healthcare ethics consultant, serving as clinical ethicist and ethics committee chair at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay. When he isn’t working with patients or talking about healthcare, Tom enjoys acting in community theater as well as exploring and surfing along the Oregon coast.
